In clinic at TruHealth & Wellness in Waterloo, I offer Registered Massage Therapy, Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.), and B.E.S.T. Massage Therapy for athletes, first responders, high performers, and everyone in between, who is done feeling stuck in their bodies.

We’ll combine hands-on treatment, bioenergetic work, and nervous system regulation tools to address the root causes of your pain, tension, and overwhelm—so you can get back to the sport, work, and life you love, not just “manage” symptoms.

Many services can also be provided online, so you’re not limited by geography, schedule, or Ontario winter weather!

B.E.S.T. has the potential to catapult you into the healthy, self-aware, strong minded, and authentic Soul you truly are.

All physical symptoms have an energetic component to them. This is what we call interference. By working with the energetic field itself we get to the root of your interference which limits it’s potential to come back, if at all.

B.E.S.T. is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing modality designed to re-establish the natural balance and flow of energy in the body. It works by addressing subconscious patterns, emotional blockages, and physical stressors that disrupt the nervous system and energy circuits.

Through guided touch and focused breathing, practitioners help clients release stored stress, realign their energy, and activate the body's innate self-healing

  • The technique is based on the principle that unresolved emotional stress and subconscious interference are primary causes of physical dysfunction and disease. When the nervous system is overloaded by stress—whether physical, emotional, or chemical—it disrupts communication between the brain and body, leading to energy imbalances. These imbalances can manifest as pain, illness, or mental fatigue.

    B.E.S.T. works by:

    • Clearing the energetic blockages that prevent the body from healing naturally.

    • Resetting the nervous system to reduce fight-or-flight responses and promote parasympathetic healing.

    • Aligning thoughts, emotions, and physical energy with the body’s innate healing capacity.

  • Using muscle testing I learn where the interference (aka stress) in your body is coming from. I will palpate specific pressure points on various areas of your body and wait for the two points to synchronize with each other (meaning your brain is properly communicating with the left & right sides of your body). I then muscle test again to confirm your conscious & subconscious brain is no longer affected by that specific stress.

    This process is repeated until there are no more issues in priority, meaning, your body is optimally balanced and working at peak potential for healing to occur.

    Treatments can take anywhere from 4-25min. An average treatment takes 15 min.

  • Short answer: Your glutes will be less painful when I dig my elbow into them 😉 And, your body will be better prepared to heal itself after the massage.

    Longer answer: We all stress, and some of us manage it better than others. This stress builds up in our bodies (aka stuck energy) affecting one or more of the many systems we have (Musculoskeletal, Endocrine, Respiratory, Nervous, etc) and then it creates physical symptoms; muscle tension, pain, tendonitis, headaches, upset digestion, anxiety, fatigue, etc

    Example: Muscle tension is controlled by your subconscious brain, so when you’re stuck in a Fight or Flight nervous response, you cannot consciously relax those muscles – believe me, I’ve tried! Many of us have…

    By doing B.E.S.T. we can directly engage the Autonomic Nervous System (subcon brain) and remove the stress pattern of interference causing the (unnecessary) muscle tension. And BAM! the muscles relax.

    Conclusion: It enables you to be in a more relaxed state, leading to a more effective treatment with longer lasting results.

    However, if you did a crazy heavy leg day at the gym and can barely walk the next day – the workout is typically the reason for your pain. But B.E.S.T. can help with that too 😉

Our Subconscious Mind Determines the Tone of our Muscles.

And sometimes, our mind gets stuck in a defensive physiology - which is why sometimes no matter how hard we try, we can’t relax those darn shoulders! Even sometimes after a great massage, they’re still kinda “stuck”.

By utilizing BioEnergetics at the beginning of a massage session Christine specifically address the Autonomic Nervous System and updates your subconscious mind into an appropriate body balance. Your muscles simply “let go” and relax. They will now contract and relax at an appropriate time.

The massage will be more effective because you’re not “fighting back” anymore, and Christine can better treat the muscles and soft tissue. This means better, longer lasting results. And likely, less time with her elbow digging into your hamstring!!

There is scientific research that shows massage can help with a variety of health conditions, adding B.E.S.T. to your massage significantly increases those results.

  • calm your fight-or-flight response and bring your nervous system out of overdrive

  • help you actually feel what’s happening in your body instead of living from the neck up

  • move stuck stress and emotion so your body isn’t carrying the whole load

  • reinforce the changes we make with B.E.S.T. and massage so they last beyond the table
